The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) has launched the Propane Landscape Demonstration Program offering golf course superintendents and landscapers the chance to trial next-generation, propane-powered landscaping equipment.
On Jan. 30, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit heard oral arguments for New York gas ban cases. A state-level gas ban was set to go into effect Jan. 1, but on Nov. 12, 2025, New York gas bans were officially put on pause by the state, pending the resolution of all legal challenges and appeals.

The January 2026 Canadian propane inventories decreased by 13.9% from December, according to the Canada Energy Regulator. The total represented a month-to-month decrease of 208.5 Mcm. Compared to a year earlier, stocks were higher, with 75.1 Mcm, or 6.2%, more product on hand.

Propane storages in the West started January lower at 839.3 Mcm, which corresponds to 5.287 MMbbl, the agency reported. From December to January, volumes decreased by 121.9 Mcm, or 12.7%, and were 99.4 Mcm more the year prior's level of 739.9 Mcm.
