CHICAGO (March 23, 2022) — SHV ENERGY and LANZATECH NZ Inc. announced a new strategic partnership to employ LanzaTech’s Carbon Capture and Transformation (CCT) technology to bring renewable propane and other sustainable fuels to the market via existing and novel pathways. The collaboration will be dedicated to further expanding LanzaTech’s existing CCT technology and synthetic biology platform which transform waste carbon into sustainable fuels and other materials, such as fabrics, packaging and other products.

Last month, Pinnacle Propane acquired United Propane and Collins Propane, jointly adding 8M gallons of volume in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of North Texas. This acquisition adds 15,000 customers to the Pinnacle portfolio, 52 new employees, and substantially strengthens Pinnacle's leading position in the fast-growing Texas market. In recent years, Pinnacle has completed 14 acquisitions, making it a top-three player in nearly all nine states it operates in.

SHV Energy and UGI International, a subsidiary of UGI Corporation, distributors of off-grid energy, announce the intention to launch a joint venture to advance the production and use of Renewable Dimethyl Ether (rDME), a low-carbon sustainable liquid gas, to accelerate renewable solutions for the LPG industry. By leveraging the expertise, innovation capabilities and distribution power of both companies, the joint venture will aim to develop the full potential of rDME as a sustainable solution.
