Software Solutions Integrated LLC (SSI; Shelbyville, Ill.) announced Jan. 7 the acquisition of K&K Management Solutions (Avon, Ind.), a move that brings together companies in the agricultural and energy retail software industries.

K&K’s Energy-Force is a well-recognized solution for the management of propane and refined fuel delivery. The company is the exclusive marketer of OptimizerPlus, which it describes as the only fully automated route optimization tool.

“We are excited about bringing the Energy-Force suite into our Agvance Sky product line and strengthening our energy offering to our diversified ag cooperatives,” commented Pam Rincker, SSI president. She added, the two companies share the same core values and commitment to outstanding service to their customers. “It’s not just the product synergy and length of time we’ve spent serving our respective industries that makes this a great fit, it’s the way K&K has built their business on the same fundamental principles as SSI. By putting customer service before all else and treating their employees and customers like family.”

Looking toward the future, K&K president, Karla Schilling, is also excited about the acquisition. “I personally know of SSI’s commitment to excellence because Energy-Force has been tightly integrated with Agvance for many years. We look forward to continuing first-class service as part of the Agvance team for years to come.”

She pointed out the positive impact on future platforms and product roadmaps. “It will provide additional resources to continuously innovate, evolve, and enhance Energy-Force to maximize the productivity and profitability of our valued customers.”

With more than 34 years in business and customers in 42 states, this acquisition will extend the SSI/Agvance brand in the energy space and strengthen its offering to agricultural cooperatives. SSI is a developer of agribusiness software with more than 3200 customer locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Its Agvance line of software products enable ag retailers to integrate business process functions from every facet of their operations.
