(July 10, 2017) — Teresa Dorroh has joined RegO Products (Elon, N.C.) as LPG Business Development Manager for North America, where she will head the company’s efforts to identify, develop, define, and grow the business by ascertaining new market opportunities in North America. Dorroh began her career in 1989 with Thompson Tanks/Northwest Pipe Co. as the first female national sales and account manager to market ASME domestic storage containers, where she employed a team of professional women respectfully remembered as the “Thompson Girls.” 
After 14 years leading the Thompson Tanks sales group, she accepted a sales and marketing position with Trinity Containers as its marketing and key account manager. Dorroh is active in the national, state, and Canadian propane gas associations, and serves on the National Propane Gas Association’s Conventions Committee and Women in Propane.
Longtime energy industry executive Bill Gautreaux resigned from Crestwood Equity Partners effective June 30th. Gautreaux served as chief marketing officer and president of Crestwood’s Marketing Supply & Logistics (MSL) Group based in Kansas City since the completion of the merger between Crestwood and Inergy in 2013. Crestwood announced concurrently that John Powell and Vance Harrington have been promoted to co-heads of the Marketing Supply & Logistics Group for Crestwood, respectively serving as senior vice president – chief commercial officer/MSL, and senior vice president – COO/MSL. Will Moore will continue in his current role as Crestwood’s senior vice president/corporate strategy and will continue to manage the Kansas City office’s administrative matters.
Laurie Irish-Jones of Irish Propane (Buffalo, N.Y.) assumed the position of chair of the Women in Propane (WIP) Council on June 8. She was previously vice chair of the council. Irish-Jones succeeds Kelly Bosak of Ferrellgas, who left the industry for a position at a Kansas City-based commercial development company. As chair of the Women in Propane Council, Irish-Jones will assume responsibility for directing the council’s growth and programming while ensuring financial stability. Brilynn Johnson is taking on the position of vice chair. She is past chair of the council’s programs & events committee. Johnson is regional sales and marketing director for the western region of AmeriGas Propane (Valley Forge, Pa.), and is based in Lincoln, Calif.
Upon the completion of Tesoro Corp.’s (San Antonio, Texas) acquisition of Western Refining Inc. (El Paso, Texas), Tesoro chairman and CEO Greg Goff was tapped to continue to head the firm as chairman, president, and CEO. Steven Sterin will continue to serve as executive vice president, CFO, and president of Tesoro Logistics. In addition, Western Refining’s former executive chairman, Paul Foster, and the company’s former CEO, Jeff Stevens, will join Tesoro’s board of directors. Tesoro’s headquarters will remain in San Antonio.

James R. (Rich) Bass Jr. passed away May 22 at the age of 82. Mr. Bass and his brother, Hiram, were co-owners of Bass Bottled Gas Co. of Melrose Park, Ill., and they also owned propane plants in Rochelle and Dwight, Ill. They sold their business to Thermogas in 1997. The Bass family was active in the Illinois Propane Gas Association (IPGA), with James R. Bass Sr. instrumental in the formation of ILPGA. The elder Bass served as president of the association from 1963-1964, and Bass Jr. held the position from1981-1982. Also an active member of the National Propane Gas Association, he and his wife, Pat, contributed to both the national and state associations’ scholarships.
Preston Glenn Miller Sr., 74, passed away June 19. He was the owner of Miller’s Bottled Gas in Bowling Green, Ky., which has been in business since 1945. Mr. Miller was very active in the propane industry for many years, having twice served as the Kentucky Propane Gas Association president. On the national level, he had been a member of National Propane Gas Association board of directors continuously since 1978. He served as co-chair for the passage through the U.S. Congress legislation enabling the formation of the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), where he was the council’s co-chairman for two terms. He served for several years on the Kentucky Propane Advisory Council for the State Fire Marshal’s office.
