Avon, Ind. — 1075 Consulting and Propane Resources announced that Heartland Gas Company (Heartland Gas) of Park River, North Dakota has been acquired by North Star Co-Op (North Star) of Cavalier, North Dakota. The transaction, in which North Star acquires Heartland Gas, closed on April 17, 2025.
Heartland Gas was founded in 1990 by Jim and Rebecca Chyle. Throughout the years they have served the Park River and Northeastern North Dakota communities with dependable propane deliveries and exceptional service. In addition to being a full-service propane retailer, they offered valuable service on grain dryers in the area. Heartland Gas has always strived to provide the safest and most reliable service, gaining the trust of local residents and customers.
North Star is a well-known local cooperative in Northeastern North Dakota providing propane, refined fuels and agricultural products and services. Tim Faust said on behalf of North Star, “We welcome the customers of Heartland Gas to the North Star family and look forward to continuing to meet the needs of the community and provide the high level of service that the Heartland team has provided for years to come.”
