During the latest mid-month period, posted prices at Mont Belvieu increased. The posted prices rose 15.416 cents/gal., from August mid-month price to September mid-month while the spot prices rose 20.5 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 12.55-cent increase and spots rose 18 cents over the month.
MB Postings
The Mont Belvieu mid-August posted price was 126.006 cents/gal. The next week, the price fell by 3.334 cents to 122.672 cents, followed by a 5.584-cent increase to 128.256 cents in the first week of September. Prices rose another 2 cents to land at 130.256 in the second week of September. At mid-month, postings climbed 11.166 cents to land at 141.422 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in September 2020, the September 2021 prices were 81.665 cents higher.
Conway Postings
The Conway, Kan., mid-August posted price was 122.848 cents/gal. The next week, the price fell 4 cents to 118.848 cents, followed by a 3.45-cent increase to 122.298 cents in the first week of September. Prices then inched up 1.65 cents to land at 123.948 in the second week of September. At mid-month, postings climbed 11.45 cents to land at 135.398 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in September 2020, the September 2021 prices were 85.931 cents higher.
MB Spots
Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-August period at 111.000-112.125 cents/gal. The next week, prices decreased 0.375 cents to 110.625-111.625 cents. The prices increased by 7.875 cents to 118.500-120.250 cents in the first week of September. The second week of September saw a 1.5-cent rise that pulled spots up to 120.000-120.875 cents. Mid-month saw another increase, gaining 11.5 cents to 131.500-132.625 cents. Compared to the same time in September 2020, the September 2021 prices were 80.125 cents above a year ago.
Conway Spots
Conway spots opened mid-August at 113.500-114.000 cents. The following week saw a 1-cent decrease to 112.500-113.250 cents, and then a 6.375-cent rise to 118.875-119.750 cents in the first week of September. Prices then moved higher, rising 1 cent to 119.875-121.250 cents in the second week of September. At mid-month period, they increased 11.625 cents to 131.500-132.750 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in September 2020, the September 2021 prices were 85.75 cents higher than a year ago.
