Lee, MA (July 26, 2024) – Ray Murray, Inc. (RMI) has announced the election of Chris Wolfe as the new president of the Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association (PPGA). With over 35 years of experience in the propane industry, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his new role.
Chris began his career at Ray Murray in December 2018 as the manager of technical support & training, following successful tenures as the propane training manager for Star Group LP and eight years as operations manager for Patriot Propane. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to promoting safety, advancing industry standards and fostering education initiatives.
"I am honored and excited to take on the role of president of the Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association," said Chris. "I look forward to the challenges ahead and am eager to collaborate with our association's members to explore new opportunities and initiatives."
Chris has held various leadership positions within the propane industry, including serving as president of the Pennsylvania Propane Foundation, a member of the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) advisory committee and chair of the education and training committee for Pennsylvania. He has also contributed to the industry as a member of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) technical standards and safety committee and a trustee of the New Jersey Propane Education Research Foundation (NJPERF).
"I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the propane industry's growth and development," Wolfe added. "I am particularly excited to continue working with our association and its members to push forward and embark on new journeys."
Chris expressed gratitude to his predecessors and acknowledged their contributions to the association. "I am humbled to follow in the footsteps of those who have led before me and am committed to building upon their achievements," Wolfe added. Chris will serve as president of the Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association for the next two years.
