BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 2, 2023) — Cahaba Media Group (cahabamedia.com) announced it has promoted Jessica Graham to lead editor of Butane-Propane News (BPN, bpnews.com), a trade journal for the propane and butane markets.

Graham joined the Birmingham-based publisher of B2B media in 2021 as associate editor of BPN and was later promoted to managing editor of the brand. In her new role, Graham will lead all editorial aspects of the brand’s portfolio, including production for its print magazine and its newsletters, website and other digital products.

Graham has a bachelor’s degree in digital journalism from Jacksonville State University. She spent six years editing children’s educational magazines for Woman’s Missionary Union and as a freelance editor for various projects before joining the BPN brand.

“To be named editor of BPN is a dream come true. I love BPN, I love the propane industry, and I love working on a magazine with such engaged readers. It’s a wonderful opportunity to be entrusted with the leadership of a long-running, beloved trade journal for this industry. I’m proud and honored to take up that mantle, and I will be working with my team to deliver the content and coverage that matters to our readers,” Graham said.

“As editor of BPN, I want to continue leading the brand to cover the topics that are meaningful and helpful to our audience. In the same vein, I’m committed to listening to the industry’s feedback so we can explore new topics and areas in which we can dig deeper. I can’t wait to see where we go next,” she continued.

Elizabeth Manning, previous lead editor of BPN, has moved into the position of director of content at Cahaba Media Group. In this role, she will work with Graham — as well as the rest of Cahaba Media’s editorial department — to drive continued growth and increase the editorial quality of the publisher’s seven B2B brands.

“Since acquiring the BPN brand in early 2021, our team has worked hard to maintain the trust of the brand’s incredible audience, forge new relationships in the industry and usher BPN into a new era of propane news and business content coverage,” Manning said. “Jessica was an obvious choice to lead BPN — she’s worked hard over the past two years to foster those relationships with industry leaders, grow her knowledge of the market and search for ways to develop the brand for our readership. I look forward to working with her to create new pathways to our content for the propane market.”

Matthew Conroy, president and CEO of Cahaba Media Group, said Graham’s promotion is a great example of one of Cahaba Media’s main goals as a company: to provide a great place to work and foster long-term career growth for each of its employees.

“Jessica’s growth at our company and in the propane industry is central to our mission at Cahaba Media Group. We’re not only able to promote a deserving candidate, but we’re also able to provide a path of continuity and stability for the readers we care so much about — we’re excited to watch Jessica move into this leadership role and work with Landen Franklin, Johnny Nickel and the rest of our BPN team to continue to grow the brand in 2024 and beyond,” Conroy said.
