The January 2026 Canadian propane inventories decreased by 13.9% from December, according to the Canada Energy Regulator. The total represented a month-to-month decrease of 208.5 Mcm. Compared to a year earlier, stocks were higher, with 75.1 Mcm, or 6.2%, more product on hand.
Propane storages in the West started January lower at 839.3 Mcm, which corresponds to 5.287 MMbbl, the agency reported. From December to January, volumes decreased by 121.9 Mcm, or 12.7%, and were 99.4 Mcm more the year prior's level of 739.9 Mcm.
