Ferrellgas Partners LP (Overland Park, Kan.) announced March 15, 2017, the acquisition of Valley Center Propane, an independent propane retailer with operations in Valley Center, Calif. in north San Diego County. Details of the transaction, which is expected to be immediately accretive, were not disclosed. 
Ferrellgas said the transaction is further evidence of the company’s longstanding commitment to growing its core propane business through strategic acquisitions.

During its more than 75-year history, Ferrellgas has completed over 235 acquisitions, moves that have helped the company grow from a single-location, independently owned propane retailer to a publicly traded enterprise that is one of the largest propane retailers in the U.S.
