Prism Midstream LLC (Houston) has begun construction of its Bedrock liquids handling facility in Crockett County, Texas. The facility will handle both on-spec and off-spec natural gas liquids and off-spec condensate, providing an outlet for those products, and is scheduled to be in operation by the end of the first quarter of 2016.
Bedrock will have an initial capacity of 5500 bbld and will be expandable to 11,000 bbld of off-spec product. The facility will be equipped with five truck racks (expandable to 12) and will be located north of Ozona with direct access to U.S. Highway 190 to receive incoming trucked liquids. Bedrock will treat all normal off-specification issues—color, corrosion, carbon dioxide, and methane—and deliver NGLs that meet pipeline specifications or condensate that has a Reid vapor pressure of 9 lb psi and sulfur content of less than 10 ppm.
Prism has executed definitive agreements with Enbridge Liquids Transportation & Marketing LP for firm capacity at Bedrock and is negotiating additional commitments. Enbridge purchases on-spec and off-spec NGLs and condensate in the Permian and has a fleet of trucks and trailers to transport Permian NGLs and condensate to the Bedrock facility.
“With the increase in crude production and associated condensate and NGLs in the Permian, a liquids facility that will receive and handle on-spec and off-spec liquids will be critical to both producers and midstream companies,” said Doug Coleman, Prism’s vice president of new ventures. “This facility will unload your truck and handle on-spec or off-spec NGLs and condensate, leaving your truck available to pick up the next load with no unexpected mileage or unscheduled delays.”
