The National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) reported that a bipartisan letter signed by 36 members of the House was sent to House Speaker Paul Ryan on Nov. 30, 2015, urging Ryan to "work towards a multiyear or permanent extension of the expiring tax and expensing provisions, more commonly known as 'extenders'."

NPGA is part of the broad coalition that helped put this letter together and attract signatories. Two extenders that benefit propane specifically are the alternative fuel tax credit and the refueling infrastructure tax credit.

Other positive provisions that may be made permanent include Section 179 expensing and bonus depreciation. The Congressional letter can be found at http://files.ctctcdn.com/a7b3299a001/1b5f77ad-a795-4da5-be73-e301ad07b436.pdf
