In Memorium: It is with great sadness to report Daryl Ingalsbe, president and CEO of Independent Technologies Inc. (Blair, Neb.) died in a plane crash near his home in Spruce Creek, Fla. on Dec. 27, 2016. He was 67. Ingalsbe founded the company in 1991.
The Independent Technologies Inc. board of directors has appointed vice president Hank L. Smith as president and CEO. Smith has been with Independent Technologies since 1992.
Matt Brock has been named tank monitor sales specialist for Bergquist Inc. (Toledo, Ohio). Prior to his new appointment, he served as the company’s area sales manager in Texas. Bergquist shifted Brock to this new position to complement Mike Vigliotti, who joined the firm in 2015. The two specialists will be responsible for providing service and training for the Gaslog and other telemetry monitors. Brock will focus his efforts on customers in the southern and western U.S., while Vigliotti will remain the primary contact for the northern and eastern part of the country.
Paula Wilson has been named director of industry engagement at the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC). She served as chair of the council from 2013 to 2015, and is the former director of marketing for AmeriGas Propane (Valley Forge, Pa.). Wilson also heads P3 Marketing Works (Philadelphia).
The Missouri Propane Education and Research Council (MOPERC) elected new directors and officers at its recent winter meeting. Eric Kolkmeyer of Energy Transport Solutions (Bates City) will serve as chair; Roger Hoff, Hoff Brothers LP-Gas (Perryville), vice chair; Luke Fitzpatrick, MFA Oil (Jefferson City), treasurer. Two directors were re-appointed to three-year terms. They are Roger Hoff of Hoff Brothers LP-Gas, and Nick Goodrich of Goodrich Gas (Crocker). Five incoming directors were appointed to three-year terms. They are James Greer, MFA Oil (Columbia); John Brokes, Big River Propane (Hannibal); John Fling, Ferrellgas-GASCO (Eldon); Luke Fitzpatrick, MFA Oil (Jefferson City); and Jeff Reitz, Central States Bus (Fenton). Outgoing chairman Tom Procter of MFA Oil (Columbia) and other outgoing directors were recognized for their service. They include Larry Hodson Jr., Big River Oil (Hannibal); Will Brooks, Brooks Gas (Marshfield); Kris Scheperle, All Seasons Landscaping (Lohman); and Tom May, MFA Oil (Columbia).

Leskinen has 27 years of experience in the petroleum and transportation industries, with a focus on propane safety. Among his responsibilities will be developing customized policies and procedures for propane retail marketers.
