Hawaii Gas (Honolulu) has named Kyle Ginoza as general manager of its Maui operations, with responsibility for overseeing all activities on Maui. This includes propane supply and distribution, new gas service installation, customer service, and pipeline operations and maintenance.

During its annual meeting in mid-November, AHRI (Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute) elected its new officers and presented awards. Doug Young, president and COO of Lennox International Residential Heating and Cooling, will serve as AHRI’s new chairman. Chris Drew of Burnham Holding Inc., vice chairman; Ron Duncan, Magic Aire, treasurer; and Ed Purvis, Emerson, immediate past chairman.

Its executive committee includes Dennis Appel, Heat Transfer Solutions; John Galyen, Danfoss North America; Nicholas Guiffre, Bradford White; Bill Johnson, Dover Refrigeration & Food Equipment; Chris Nelson, North America HVAC, Carrier; Chris Peel, Rheem Mfg.; Earle Pfefferkorn, Cleaver-Brooks; Dave Regnery, Trane; Rod Rushing, Johnson Controls; Mike Schwartz, Daikin Applied; Bill Steel, Bard Mfg.; and Kevin Wheeler, A.O. Smith.
The Richard C. Schulze Award for distinguished service and commitment to AHRI was presented to Dave Negrey, Johnson Controls; Harry Milliken, Desert Aire; Jerry Sipes, Price Industries; Warren Lupson, AHRI; and Brian Reynolds, Trane. The AHRI Public Service Award was given to Gerry Kennedy of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors. Distinguished Service Awards were presented to Harry Holmes of Morrison Products and (posthumously) to Joseph Fristik of Rheem Mfg. Co.
