Dennis Vegas has joined the staff of the Propane Education & Research Council as its new chief marketing officer.
Vegas has experience as a communications and marketing professional with national and global organizations. Most recently, he was the CMO for Americans for Prosperity and its related foundations. He previously held key communications and marketing roles at AT&T, Acclaim Energy Advisors, MRI, Enron, and ITT.
Vegas' background is in public relations, social and digital media, and B2B and B2C marketing. He has experience developing and directing grass-roots mobilization efforts and has led communication efforts in crisis management situations.
“The CMO position was created to help the council be more effective and efficient in carrying out our newly unrestricted consumer awareness outreach,” said PERC President and CEO Roy Willis. “Dennis Vegas brings experience in quantitative and qualitative research, and he has created marketing campaigns both to educate consumers and to introduce new products and services.”
Vegas holds a bachelor’s degree in community relations from Springfield College, and a master’s of arts from American International College.
