During the latest mid-month period, posted prices at Mont Belvieu increased. The posted prices rose 1.416 cents/gal., from July mid-month price to August mid-month while the spot prices rose 3.5 cents. Conway, Kan., postings ended with a 6.701-cent increase and spots rose 6.75 cents over the month.

MB Postings

The Mont Belvieu mid-July posted price was 121.756 cents/gal. The next week, the price fell by 4.25 cents to 117.506 cents, followed by a 2.833-cent increase to 120.339 cents in the last week of July. Prices then fell 0.917 cents to land at 119.422 in the first week of August. At mid-month, postings climbed 3.75 cents to land at 123.172 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in August 2020, the August 2021 prices were 62.082 cents higher.

Conway Postings

The Conway, Kan., mid-July posted price was 113.097 cents/gal. The next week, the price fell 1.35 cents to 111.747 cents, followed by a 2.2-cent increase to 113.947 cents in the last week of July. Prices then inched down 0.149 cents to land at 113.798 in the first week of August. At mid-month, postings climbed 6 cents to land at 119.798 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in August 2020, the August 2021 prices were 67.88 cents higher.

 

MB Spots

Mont Belvieu spot propane opened the mid-July period at 109.500-110.750 cents/gal. The next week, prices decreased 2.5 cents to 107.000-108.000 cents. The prices increased by 2.75 cents to 109.750-110.125 cents in the last week of July. The first week of August saw a 1.75-cent decline that pulled spots down to 108.000-108.750 cents. Mid-month saw an increase, gaining 5 cents to 113.000-113.500 cents. Compared to the same time in August 2020, the August 2021 prices were 61.25 cents above a year ago.

Conway Spots

 

Conway spots opened mid-July at 108.000-109.250 cents. The following week saw a 0.375-cent decrease to 107.625-108.125 cents, and then a 2.375-cent rise to 110.000-110.750 cents in the last week of July. Prices then moved lower, sliding 0.75 cents to 109.250-110.250 cents in the first week of August. At mid-month period, they increased 5.5 cents to 114.750-115.750 cents/gal. Compared to the same time in August 2020, the August 2021 prices were 68 cents higher than a year ago.
