Superior Fuel Company Marks 20 Years by Celebrating Company’s First Customers

Duluth, MN (July 21, 2026) — As Superior Fuel Company celebrates its 20th anniversary, the company is recognizing the customers who have been with them since the very beginning. Earlier this week, Superior Fuel surprised Almon and Patty Alton, the company’s very first customers, with one year of free propane as a thank you for their loyalty over the past two decades. The Altons also received a Superior Fuel gift basket during the special visit. 

“We’re incredibly grateful to Almon and Patty for trusting Superior Fuel from day one,” said Ryan Gunderson, president of Superior Fuel Company. “Our customers have played a vital role in our success over the past 20 years, and we wanted to recognize the people who have been with us since the very beginning. It was an honor to celebrate this milestone with them.” 

Founded in 2006, Superior Fuel Company has grown from a single-location propane provider into a trusted energy company serving residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Today, the company operates 25 bulk plants and seven regional offices. 

Recognizing the Altons is one of several customer appreciation initiatives planned as part of Superior Fuel’s 20th anniversary celebration.
