Session To Focus On “A Time of Transition In The Americas”

Production of propane is going through what Argus Media calls a “Golden Age,” spearheaded by strong growth on the back of shale gas development in the U.S. The surge in production is having impacts around the world, especially throughout the Americas, where proximity and easy access to North American supply flows make for a heady cocktail of market evolution and growth.

To highlight this trend, the 31st World LPG Forum in Houston will feature a session entitled “A Time of Transition in the Americas,” which, as the title implies, will focus on the transitions taking place in propane markets in North, Central and South America — from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego and all points in between. Speakers from the U.S., Chile, Mexico, and others will discuss the rapid changes buffeting their markets and what strategies they are implementing to discard old business models and seize new opportunities. There will be a further focus on how this transition in the Americas will impact global supply chains and what the long-term trends could be. This session, scheduled for Oct. 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be moderated by Nathalie St.-Pierre, president and CEO of the Canadian Propane Association.
