Propane Exports Dip from October
Exports of propane from the U.S. dipped 2.7% in November compared to a month earlier, but still came in at a strong 12,307,471 bbl, off 335,090 bbl from October levels, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC). At the same time, compared to November 2012, propane exports soared 76.1%, or by 5,316,773 bbl.
November propane imports, meanwhile, rose 4.7% month over month to reach 3,685,205 bbl, an increase of 165,622 bbl over October, DOC reports. Year over year, imports jumped a much stronger 35.1%, rising by 957,902 bbl compared to November 2012.
Butane exports also slipped in November from October, declining a steep 17.8% to stand at 498,211 bbl at the beginning of December. Volumes were off 107,769 bbl month to month, while for the year exports dropped a sharp 29.6%, falling 209,710 bbl. November butane imports to the nation were at 333,809 bbl, posting a 5.8% deficit for the month and a significant 51.5% plunge compared to November 2012.
