VANCOUVER , British Columbia , Jan. 16, 2024 — Westport Fuel Systems Inc. (Westport), a provider of advanced alternative fuel systems and components for the global transportation industry, today announced the appointment of Dan Sceli as CEO of the Westport and member of the Westport board of directors. Sceli will join Westport as its new CEO effective immediately, succeeding Tony Guglielmin who has supported Westport's management team as interim CEO during this transition period.

Sceli has more than three decades of experience, highlighted by exemplary leadership roles in the global automotive and manufacturing industries. In his most recent role as board member and CEO of Cadillac Products Automotive Company, an international leader in the plastics processing industry, Sceli diversified the product portfolio and successfully expanded into new markets. Prior to that, Sceli served for 12 years as CEO of Peterson American Corporation, the largest privately held spring manufacturer in North America. Sceli began his career with The Woodbridge Group, where he became a member of the senior management team, growing the company from a single Canadian factory to a global organization with 60 factories and several joint ventures.

As an industry leader committed to broader change, Sceli has served in several key roles, including as president and member of the industry supplier associations Original Equipment Suppliers Association and Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association where he shaped industry standards and practices. As part of this work, Sceli participated in high-level discussions in Washington, D.C., and focused on supporting the auto industry during the 2008 financial crisis.
