Mountain Line Transit Authority Showcases First-Ever Propane Buses
Mountain Line Transit Authority will showcase its new low-cost near-zero-emission vehicles equipped with ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas technology. The event highlights a shift in the transit industry toward clean, affordable and sustainable alternative fuels. Attendees will have the opportunity to ride in one of Mountain Line’s propane vehicles.
Vehicles that run on propane autogas emit fewer greenhouse gases, smog-producing hydrocarbons and particulate emission than gasoline or diesel. Mountain Line’s transit buses are 90% cleaner in nitrogen oxides than the Environmental Protection Agency’s most stringent emission standard.
Participants in the event include Mountain Line Transit, ROUSH CleanTech, the Propane Education & Research Council, Ferrellgas, West Virginia University and the West Virginia Propane Gas Association.
