Jeff Thompson Joins Synergy Commodities as Director, Bringing Industry Expertise

Jeff Thompson joined Synergy Commodities as a director, effective June 29, 2025. With nearly three decades of experience in the propane industry, Thompson brings extensive expertise in supply, risk management and retailer advisory services. His career was built at Propane Resources, one of the industry’s most respected firms, co-founded by the late Dwain Willingham, a member of the LP Gas Hall of Fame’s Class of 2014.

A Pioneer in Industry Intelligence

Thompson’s impact at Propane Resources extended beyond supply procurement. Early in his career, he created, developed and launched a web-based platform that gave propane retailers and industry professionals real-time market visibility. He also led numerous economic feasibility studies for propane terminal buildouts on behalf of midstream clients, helping shape infrastructure decisions across the industry.

At Synergy Commodities, Thompson will work directly with propane and heating oil retailers to help align supply strategies with budgeted gross margins while supporting sustainable growth and long-term enterprise value. Outside of work, Thompson enjoys golf, reading and long walks.
