Edge Energy Group Acquires 2 North Texas Propane Companies

Waco, TX (Aug. 4, 2026) — Edge Energy Group, a consolidator in the propane industry, announced the successful acquisition of two well-established North Texas companies: Chadwell and Son Gas Co., Inc. and Poor Boys L.P. Gas, LLC. The transactions became effective on June 18 and July 31 respectively. The companies will operate under Edge Energy Group’s Star Tex Propane brand. 

The strategic acquisitions are a key part of Edge Energy Group’s long-term plan to grow the Texas market and expand its service area. The addition of Chadwell and Son, which serves customers from its location in Springtown, Texas, and Poor Boys L.P. Gas, based in Hillsboro, Texas, significantly enhances Edge Energy Group’s operational footprint and customer density in this high-growth region.

Edge Energy Group has confirmed that all employees from both acquired entities will be retained.
