Guido Zichittella obtained his Ph.D. in chemical engineering at ETH Zurich in 2019 under the supervision of professor J. P�rez-Ram�rez. Funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, he is now a postdoctoral fellow in the group of professor Yuriy Rom�n-Leshkov at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology working on catalytic polyolefin deconstruction. Julie E. Rorrer is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington-Seattle. Her research is centered on developing and understanding heterogeneous catalytic systems to enable sustainable chemical transformations including the chemical upcycling of waste plastics and the synthesis of renewable fuels and specialty chemicals. Yuriy Rom�n-Leshkov is the Robert T. Haslam Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research pursues the design and fundamental understanding of advanced heterogeneous catalysts and reactor concepts tackling current and future energy, resource and environmental challenges of society, including plastic waste and biomass upcycling, selective alkane oxidation and fuel cells.
