Grand Opening for Arro Autogas’ Newest Refueling Station in California

Arro Autogas, in partnership with the San Joaquin Valley Clean Cities Coalition and the City of Exeter, Calif. opened its newest public propane autogas refueling station in California. Located in the central California city of Exeter, the refueling station was unveiled during a grand opening on March 22. Dignitaries included Exeter city officials, local and state government representatives and police and fire officials. The event concluded with an up-close view of the new station and a question-and-answer session with Linda Urata, Clean Cities executive chair and coordinator.

Arriving from Washington, D.C., Roy Willis, president and CEO of the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) was keynote speaker. During his presentation, Willis explained to the audience that, “Propane autogas is a clean, affordable alternative to gasoline and diesel, and Arro Autogas is a longstanding leader in bringing autogas to market.”

The new station will provide 24/7 autogas refueling for the private sector, propane fleets, the City of Exeter’s propane pickup trucks and lawn mowers, and the local school district’s new propane-powered school buses. The partnership between the public and private sector on this project is exciting for Ted Olsen, Arro Autogas’ market manager. “What better way to celebrate the 20th station of Arro Autogas than with the public sector,” Olsen commented. Daymon Qualls, director of public works for the city of Exeter, added, “This station serves as an example of the City of Exeter’s commitment to improving air quality and creating a more sustainable and livable community. We are excited about being able to offer a 24-hour alternative fuel source to our residents, as well as the general public.”
