Basin Coop Acquires Inter-Mountain Propane

Houston, Texas (Sept. 16, 2026) — Basin Coop Inc., based in Durango, Colo., has acquired Inter-Mountain Propane LLC, headquartered in Pagosa Springs, Colo. The transaction closed on Aug. 26, 2026.

Inter‑Mountain Propane was founded in the early 2020s by owner Ronnie Urbanczyk, whose vision, entrepreneurial drive and commitment to service transformed a small regional opportunity into one of Pagosa Springs’ most trusted propane providers. Leveraging his extensive business experience, Urbanczyk assembled a strong leadership team and built Inter‑Mountain into a company known for reliability, responsiveness and a customer‑first culture. Today, Inter‑Mountain serves customers throughout Archuleta, La Plata and Mineral counties, providing propane tank installation, service, leak checks and repairs. 

Ronnie Urbanczyk, owner of Inter-Mountain Propane, commented, “I am very pleased with the outcome of this transaction and grateful to Cetane and specifically Tamera for helping guide me through the process. Basin Coop is a member-owned agricultural cooperative based in Durango, Colorado, with operations spanning propane and petroleum, agricultural supplies, agronomy, tires and convenience retail. The cooperative operates throughout southwest Colorado, including a location in Pagosa Springs, and has an established propane and fuels operation supported by multiple delivery trucks and substantial storage capacity.

Cetane advised on the sale, including an initial valuation opinion, marketing the business through a confidential process, assisting in negotiating the final deal terms and coordinating the due diligence process. Team members Tamera Kovacs, Jack McMurchie and Barrett Conway managed the transaction.
