Manchester Tank (Franklin, Tenn.) Nov. 13 announced price increases of up to 8% on all of its major coil steel-based product families, including DOT steel propane cylinders, steel forklift cylinders, and air receiver vessels. Changes are effective with all new orders shipping on or after Dec. 15, 2020, or as contracts allow.

“Over the past several months Manchester Tank has experienced significant cost increases in cylinders and tanks containing hot rolled coil steel and brass components,” said Brendan Dillmann, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Manchester Tank. “We have also experienced increases in operating expenses associated with servicing our customers at a high level during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have worked hard to absorb as many of these increases as possible, but we have reached a point where we must adjust prices. We will continue to monitor the markets closely and adjust prices as needed as we get clarity into the cost and availability of raw materials.”
