The Western Propane Gas Association (WPGA) is hosting the first-ever virtual conference to explore promising opportunities for propane to provide sustainable energy to help address climate change. “The Path To Renewable Propane” will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Pacific time on Nov. 4.

The online conference will feature lawmakers, policy experts, propane producers, and retailers discussing the role renewable propane can play to meet increasing energy needs while reducing carbon in the atmosphere.

The live session will feature a legislative keynote from California State Assembly Member, Jim Cooper (D-Elk Grove).

Event sessions will cover the growing market for renewable propane, credits available today in California, future forecast for carbon credit systems, and the processes used to produce renewable propane. Consumers also will learn how to source a sustainable clean fuel with a low cost of adoption, and to deploy renewable propane as part of their organization’s greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction strategy.

“We are excited to offer this conference, which is filled with timely content for industry members, producers, fleet owners, regulators, and legislators alike,” said Joy Alafia, WPGA’s president and CEO. “We hope attendees walk away with a better understanding of renewable propane’s value proposition and what a pivotal transformation it promises for our industry to help fight climate change.”

Attendee registration is $50 for industry members of WPGA/NPGA and $100 non-industry members. Registration is free for legislators and policy makers.
