Four highly qualified, and long-serving fleet executives have been nominated for Automotive Fleet’s prestigious Fleet Executive of the Year award including Robin Lewis, Vice President, Procurement, Fleet and Asset Management at Ferrellgas. The award will be presented at AFLA’s annual conference in Nashville, September 2015. The Fleet Executive of the Year Award was created by Automotive Fleet, the car and truck fleet and leasing management magazine, to recognize exceptional leadership by managers who have a title of vice president or higher and who may have additional responsibilities beyond fleet.
Robin Lewis Ferrellgas

In addition to managing a fleet of more than 3,300 vehicles for Ferrellgas, Lewis develops and has oversight of a variety of comprehensive corporate purchasing and fleet strategies, each core to Ferrellgas’ mission of efficiency and optimized asset value.

In addition to managing a staff of four and indirect staff of eight, Lewis has been tasked with a number of disparate responsibilities since joining Ferrellgas in 1997. Lewis applies her experience and expertise on the processes and data-led logistics that drive performance and longevity for Ferrellgas’ more than 3,300 vehicles — keeping them on the road, delivering propane to its customers across the country, and managing an annual budget of more than $150 million.

She, along with members of her team, also represent Ferrellgas interests and offers input on behalf of fleet professionals through active leadership roles in a number of associations, including NAFA, the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA), the Propane Education Research Council (PERC), Clean Cities, and American Purchasing Society.

In addition to Lewis’ leadership skills is the number of personal and professional honors and appointments, such as a seat on the National Propane Gas Association’s audit committee, selection as one of Women in Propane’s original advisory board members, and Kansas City Business Journal’s 2007 Women Who Mean Business honor.
